Minecraft improvements (Plugins/Features)

Postby Nathan » Thu Apr 28, 2011 10:39 pm

One of the things we are always keen to do is to add new features to minecraft that make life easy for both you and I

Here is how you can help:
Suggest ways to improve current plugins.
Suggest possible new plugins that we can make.
Suggest a plugin that we are not already using.
Provide feedback about the server.

If we think that you have a good idea we will add it to the list of plugins we are planning to make.

To find out what plugins we are already running type "/plugins" while in game

Plugins we are planning to make/add:
Infinite chests or Warehouse reset button---- This is so we don't need to refill the warehouse
Afk ---- find out who is afk by using /afk
Private worlds ---- Donors can build in a private protected area, with more extra map editing commands.

Plugins that we have already made:
Chat Log ---- So i can keep a record of chat in my database
Clear Inventory
Daylight ---- allows some donors to use /day and moderators /night
Help
new player---- When a player joins for the first time ever a message will be sent to everyone saying to welcome them
Online Players---- shows who is online /who <world>
Player Checker ---- Only allows Kiwi's on
Private Message System
Most online ---- shows when the most players were online /mostonline
What World ---- to see the world you are in use: /world
Caps Blocker ---- if your message contains more that the set amount

A Plugin that would allow give separate inventories and Homes for survival and city would be pretty cool.
So it would turn survival into a survival scenario, instead of warp to warehouse and then warp back.
Life is like a game of FTL, when you think everything is going swimmingly... you die.

@MKLNZ
Great idea, we had been looking at releasing this when the new survival world comes out,
Planned ETA on survival, 2-4weeks

@Faded
That is our top priority at the momnet, we were testing some fixes last night, but so far with no success

Maybe more /home's per world or some form of personal warps. Not sure if thats a plugin but it would be nice.

Suggested by MKLNZ

Minecarts @ Boats break, when you hop out of them

This will reduce lag

@pred we have looked at that, and will do something about it in the future,
I have added it to the "to do" list on the first post

Maybe a plugin to make it so you have a choice for mobs to spawn around you or not.
So that when Mobs are turned back on, people who don't wont to fight them wont have mobs spawn around them, so it can give them a more peaceful experience and reduce server load.

Added a new plugin to the list of plugins to make.

"new player welcome"

When a player joins for the first time ever a message will be sent to all players letting them know that a first time player has just joined.
The purpose of this is first to welcome the new player as well as letting others know to offer assistance and give the new player important info.
